Since 1984 we have helped thousands of couples in the Des Moines area cap off one of the most important days of their life with a fun and a well organized wedding reception.  At ABCDJ, we help make sure that your reception goes off without a hitch.  Wedding packages always include 5 hours of music and we never charge for setup or tear-down.

 

Music is only one part of what we do to help your reception be a success.  We will help make sure that you have thought of the details that can make the difference between an ok reception and a great reception.  Having a more detailed plan before the reception will allow you to enjoy your wedding night because we can help keep things moving along so people don't leave before the dancing starts.

 

While meeting with you before your reception, we will also make sure we have a list of all of the “must have” songs, as well as the songs that you do not want played.  This includes all of the spotlight dances, like the first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, and wedding party dances. 

 

The night of your reception we will take care of all of the Emcee duties, such as making introductions, as well as make all of the announcements.  Once it is time for the music to start, we realize that there is not a "cookie cutter" reception and each one is different.  To make sure we play the right music at the right time, all of our Disc Jockey's are trained to read the crowd to help make sure we keep people on the dance floor.

 

Requests are taken all night long and by having all of our music in the digital format we can even help find the song people want to hear, even if they don't exactly know who sang it or what the name is.  We have all of the latest music as well as all of the classics that people love to get up and dance to.  If we don't have it the night of the wedding but somebody has it on their iPod or on a CD, we are happy to play it as long as it is an edited version.

 

ABCDJ knows that we are not the focal point of the night, so you will never see logos or hear advertising from us at your reception.  We bring an entertaining light show, but leave our intelligent lights at the shop since they can steal the spotlight from you.  If requested, we can bring the equipment that makes your reception feel more like a club, so let us know if that is something you are interested in.  We will do everything that we can to make your night one to remember.

 

At ABCDJ we offer you experience, professional equipment, and individual services at extremely competitive rates!  We are able to keep our prices lower because Monday thru Friday all of our DJ’s have full time jobs and entertain crowds on the weekends because we want to, not because we have to.  Contact us with any questions that you might have, and we will be glad to answer them for you!
