Meet the Staff

Rudy Benki (owner)

Rudy Benki started ABCDJ in 1984 years ago after being a drummer/vocalist for a few successful bands. It is through the last 27 years as a Disc Jockey and the years previous as a drummer that he learned what it takes to entertain people.  During the week Rudy works as a Des Moines firefighter.

"All of my disc jockeys know music and most of all, they know how to entertain. Even though some of them have not been with the company for twenty years, I have been sure to pass along most of the things I've learned to help them be some of the best in the business.

No matter what age the audience, I have a DJ that can entertain them. One thing is for sure, no matter the age group, I can get them on their feet dancing!"

Aaron

Aaron started with ABCDJ in 1999.  He grew up around Rudy and has had extensive mentoring from him.  This has helped create an extensive knowledge of music as well as being able to entertain lots of different crowds.  During the week Aaron works as an EMT, so you should feel safe having him around!

Trevor

Trevor is the newest member of the ABCDJ team, coming to us in 2008 from another DJ company in Des Moines, where he obtained 5 years of experience.  His great passion for music helps keep people moving all night long.  As his day job, Trevor works in plant genetics research and DJ's because he enjoys providing entertainment for your special event!

Mark 

Mark has been with ABCDJ since 2001.  He currently works as an Electrical Engineer and is a DJ because it is something that is fun for him to do.  Whether it is a wedding reception or school dance, Mark knows all types of music that will keep the dance floor hopping.  He knows that there are no "cookie cutter" events and enjoys playing music that gets people on the dance floor.
