ABCDJ has been entertaining in the Des Moines area since 1984. We have all types of music from oldies to the latest chart toppers, professional sound and lighting equipment, and know what time to play the right music.  

Thoroughly Trained Staff

Our team members are thoroughly trained before they perform on their own since we know that there is only one chance for your event, especially wedding receptions!  They are trained to read the crowd and anticipate how they will respond to different types of music to keep the party going all the way until the end.  All of us are able to think on our feet in case any unforeseen circumstances arise and none of the events are the same.  We are able to keep our prices low because Monday thru Friday all of our DJ's have full time jobs and entertain crowds on the weekends because we want to, not because we have to.

Professional Equipment

We have three sets of professional equipment that can be used per day and have backups in the rare case of failure.  Our music is played off of computers, but we do bring CD backups along just in case of need.  This allows us to find music requested very quickly without having to look for the music on CD's.  All of the music is radio edited and ready for all ears.

We use the microphone to encourage the guests to dance but understand that not everybody will want to step onto the dance floor.  You are the star of the party, and we know it!  We act professionally and will never go out into the crowd to bring people on the dance floor.

Need to know info!

When you decide to go with ABCDJ, we will send you a contract and ask that you sign it and return it to us along with the security deposit.  We will then sign one copy and return it for your records.  ABCDJ is not a booking agency, so when you hire us, you will get us at your event.  In the event that something does go wrong, we carry $1 million worth of liability insurance, which is required by most venues in the Des Moines area.
